We’ve had two new arrivals come into the sanctuary this last Sunday for a little TLC.
On the left is Lakota and, on the right is Nakoda.
They have come into stables with us to alleviate the terrible problem of the continuing rainfall everybody is currently suffering.
They’re usual field is now basically waterlogged and is of a heavy clay formation so, it sticks to their legs like glue and when it does get the chance to dry it’s causing movement problems in their fetlocks.
As a result we have offered them places for the moment until the weather conditions improve and we can get their legs looking better and feeling more comfortable.
